DMCA Policy
Chef's Atelier respects the intellectual property rights of creators, culinary educators, photographers, writers, and other rights holders. We aim to publish original and properly authorized content across our website, including cooking-class descriptions, recipes, instructional materials, photographs, illustrations, videos, and educational resources. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that satisfy the applicable requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy explains how to submit a notice, what information should be included, and how we handle counter notices and repeated infringement concerns.
Copyright notice requirements
If you believe that material available on this website infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, you may submit a written notification requesting review. To help us identify the material and assess your claim, include the following information:
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so that we can contact you about the notice.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, provide a representative list or identify each work as clearly as possible.
- The exact URL of the material you want reviewed, or a sufficiently detailed description of its location on our website, such as a page containing a recipe, class description, photograph, video, or downloadable resource.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, the owner's agent, or applicable law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.
- Your physical or electronic signature, confirming that you are submitting the notice in good faith and have authority to make the claim.
Where to send notices
Send copyright notices and related questions to: [email protected] or mail them to Chef's Atelier, 225 Liberty St Third Floor, New York, NY 10281. Please use a subject line such as "DMCA Copyright Notice" and include the relevant page URLs and supporting details. Providing complete, accurate information helps us review your request efficiently. We may contact you for clarification if essential details are missing. Submitting a notice does not guarantee removal, and we may take any action appropriate under applicable law after evaluating the information provided.
Counter notices
If material you submitted to the website was removed or access to it was disabled following a copyright complaint, and you believe the action resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter notice where permitted by the DMCA. Your counter notice should include your contact information, identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification, and the legally required consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. Include your physical or electronic signature and any other information required by applicable law. We will review a counter notice for completeness and handle it according to the procedures established by the DMCA. Do not submit a counter notice unless you have a genuine basis for believing the removal was improper.
Repeat infringement
Chef's Atelier may restrict access to website features or terminate access for individuals or accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights, where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website, its instructors, content contributors, students, and creative materials. We may also remove or disable access to disputed content while a claim is reviewed, preserve relevant records, and take other appropriate steps in response to credible reports. This policy applies to website materials such as culinary lesson descriptions, original recipes, teaching guides, photographs, video demonstrations, graphics, and other protected works. Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
